Description
Alba Negra Menorca is a red from Bodega Torralba Menorca, produced under the IGP Vi de la Terra Illa de Menorca. The blend combines 85% Monastrell with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing together Mediterranean fruit and herbal character with added structure. The wine is centred on ripe fruit, scrubland herbs and balsamic, spicy nuances.
Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless-steel tanks for around two weeks. The wine then spends six months on its fine lees, gaining texture while retaining freshness. In the glass it shows ripe cherry and plum, Mediterranean herbs, anise and spice. The palate is juicy and lively, with good acidity, integrated tannins and a long, balsamic finish with a subtle saline edge.
