Description

Sílice Blanco comes from the steep terraces of the Sil River canyon in Ribeira Sacra and reflects the minimal-intervention approach of Sílice Viticultores, the project of Fredi Torres, Carlos Rodríguez and Juan Rodríguez. It is made from a field blend of Galician white grapes including Treixadura, Palomino, Albariño, Godello, Doña Blanca and Branco Lexítimo, grown on granite, sand and slate soils.

The grapes are hand harvested and vinified with native yeasts. The wine develops on its lees in a combination of stainless steel, concrete and oak. Aromatically it shows green apple, pear, white flowers, herbs and wet-stone notes. The palate is creamy and concentrated while retaining pronounced freshness, with a savoury, mineral character and a long, balanced finish.
