The year was 1927 when Hermann Heinz Theodor Schroeder settled down in Patagonia and began working in the wine industry. In 2001, Hermann Schroeder, the son of this German immigrant, gave start to the project involving his sons, who are currently managing the business.
When Familia Schroeder winery was being built, workers uncovered the bones of a large herbivore dinosaur. The singularity of the find, inspired the name SAURUS for these premium set of wines.
This innovative Pinot Noir from Patagonia is the result of thoroughly hand harvested and selected grapes from the most privileged areas of our estate. Must is cold macerated in tanks and after the separation of solids, fermented in new oak barrels where it stays on the lees and ages for 6 months.
