Description

Garagewine Albilla Dorada is a white wine made in Quintanar de la Orden, Toledo, by the project of Jesús Toledo and Julián Ajenjo, focused on recovering neglected local varieties from La Mancha. The Albilla Dorada comes from one hectare planted in 2020 within their experimental vineyard, where yields are controlled to seek greater identity despite the young age of the vines.

It is the project’s first white wine aged in wood. Fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by 372 days in second-use barrels. In the glass it shows an intense golden colour, combining pear skin, greengage, nectarine and orange marmalade with pencil-shaving and cinnamon notes. The palate is broad and concentrated while retaining piercing acidity and pronounced chalky tension, bringing dryness, definition and length to the finish.
