Description

El Canto de la Alondra is a Ribera del Duero signature wine created as the personal project of winemaker Silvia González García. After years working in different Spanish wine regions, in 2014 she decided to produce her own wine as a direct expression of her experience in both the vineyard and the winery. It is a very limited-production project shaped by a particularly personal and hands-on approach.

Made exclusively from Tempranillo, the wine comes from Ribera del Duero vineyards planted on predominantly limestone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand and the winemaking is focused on preserving the quality and character of the fruit, with careful fermentation followed by extended ageing mainly in French oak, complemented by a small proportion of American oak. The result is a generous yet elegant red, with red and black fruit, floral, spicy and toasted notes, ripe silky tannins and a long, persistent finish.
