Description
Arrùi is a Carignano del Sulcis DOC from The Blossom Avenue Living Farm, made in Domus de Maria in south-western Sardinia. It comes from around two hectares of estate vineyards planted at approximately 150–200 metres above sea level and only a few kilometres from the coast, on predominantly sandy soils with rock and volcanic mineral components. This version blends 95% Carignano with 5% Syrah, aiming for a fresh and elegant Mediterranean expression.
After destemming and crushing, fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with selected yeasts, followed by maturation exclusively in steel with no oak ageing. The wine shows black cherry, black plum, blackberry, pomegranate, Mediterranean herbs, black pepper and balsamic nuances. On the palate it is dry and medium-bodied, with lively acidity, fine tannins and a clean, fresh and persistent finish.
