Description

Capofila del Pozzo Buono is a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico made by Vicari in Morro d’Alba, in the Marche. The family has been linked to local viticulture for centuries, and the name “Del Pozzo Buono” recalls the old neighbourhood well once used by local residents. The wine is made entirely from carefully selected Verdicchio, harvested by hand.

Vinification takes place off the skins at controlled temperature, followed by extended time on the lees and maturation in stainless steel. In the glass it shows a straw-yellow colour with green highlights and elegant aromas of fruit and wild flowers. The palate is dry, fresh and clean, with good body, a smooth texture and notable persistence. A gently bitter finish, characteristic of the style, adds definition and length.
