Description
Vaona Amarone Classico is a red wine made in the Valpolicella Classico appellation, Italy, by Vaona. It is produced using the traditional appassimento method, in which the grapes are dried before vinification to concentrate aromas and structure. Made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, it offers intense notes of ripe cherry, dried fruit, cocoa and spices on the nose. On the palate it is broad and powerful, with firm yet polished tannins, great concentration and a long, persistent finish. An elegant, complex Amarone with notable ageing potential.
