Description

Tenuta Cantagallo Chianti Montalbano is a DOCG red made from Sangiovese in the Tuscan hills of Montalbano, between Florence and Vinci. The estate has belonged to the Pierazzuoli family since 1970 and extends over around 200 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woodland, with organic production. The wine offers a direct, balanced expression of the grape within one of Chianti’s historic subzones.

In the glass it shows ripe cherry, plum and wild berries, followed by notes of spice, smoke, leather and liquorice. The palate is rounded, fresh and balanced, with clearly defined fruit, elegant acidity and silky tannins. The finish carries spicy and mineral nuances with good persistence, giving the wine an approachable, food-friendly style.
