Description

Pouilly Fumé La Villaudière is a Sauvignon Blanc vinified and bottled by Jean-Marie Reverdy & Fils. Since 2010, the family has expanded its activity with wines from neighbouring Centre-Val de Loire appellations, applying the same winemaking standards used at its Sancerre estate. For this cuvée, the family purchases Sauvignon Blanc must from Pouilly-Fumé, where flint-bearing clay, Kimmeridgian marl and limestone caillottes shape the appellation.

The wine is vinified in Sancerre as a classic still white and aged for 4 to 6 months on fine lees in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The nose shows peach, acacia blossom and elegant minerality. On the palate it combines mineral freshness, a gentle attack and balance, finishing lively and persistent.
