It is said that Givry was the favourite wine of French King Henry IV. The location is beautiful southern Burgundy, 10 km from Châlon-sur-Saône. Limestone soils and an excellent south east or due south exposure. The grapes are macerated on their skins and the fermented in stainless steel followed by ageing in barrel for 12 to 15 months. Special care is taken throughout the process by Joseph Drouphin to ensure that the wine is a true expression of the terroir, grape and the vintage.
