Romaneira is one of the largest estates in the Douro, with a total of 412 hectares and 3 kilometres of river frontage on the river Douro. The vineyards are planted on terraces on the steeply sloping hills of the property. Romaneira contains several microclimates and various South Easterly, South Westerly and Southern facing slopes. All their wines are made exclusively from grapes from their vineyards, a distinctive characteristic of Quinta da Romaneira wines. Unique among the specific terroir range, Tres Parcelas is a wine sourced from three distinct terroirs. Each of these specific sites contributes unique and valuable character to the blend of the three. Proportions from each will vary slightly from year to year according to our decisions in the blending room. Ageing in barrels for 11 months 38% new oak, 62% barrels of one and two years.
