In southern Burgundy lies the Mâcon-Charnay-lès-Mâcon appellation lie on the higher slopes of the Mont du Maconnais. The Chardonnay grapes are ferment at cool temperatures to retain the primary aromas, during the winter following the vintage the wines undergo a malolactic fermentation. During the following spring the wines are blended from different tanks to combine the terroirs from where the grapes were grown.
