The Cave de Tain in the Northern Rhone is one of France’s best-run wine co-operatives made up of 300 members. The Marsanne grapes are grown on granite, alluvial soils, giving the wine its distinctive character. The grapes are hand picked, fermented at low temperature, and left in contact with lees for 3 to 8 months. Drink now but will develop over next 4 years.
