Cair Selecci\u00f3n La Aguilera is a red from Dominio de Cair made from 100% Tempranillo grown in vineyards over 45 years old in La Aguilera, within Ribera del Duero. The plots lie between 820 and 870 metres above sea level on slopes and terraces with different exposures, over sandy-clay loam and clay-loam soils. The elevation helps preserve freshness and shapes the wine’s floral and balsamic character.<\/p>\n
The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes. They undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration, pass through a double sorting table and ferment in stainless-steel tanks. The wine then ages for 14 months in French and American oak, combining new and second-use barrels.
