The vineyard lies on well-drained G\u00fcnz gravel, one of the defining features of the Graves terroir. The blend combines 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.<\/p>\n<p>Fermentation takes place at 28 \u00b0C in small wooden vats, with extraction carried out by manual punch-downs. The wine then ages for 18 months in barrels, 60% of them new and produced in the ch\u00e2teau&#8217;s own cooperage, with ageing on the lees. The nose shows raspberry, cherry and strawberry followed by spice, dried herbs and floral nuances.
