Origin

Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Lupé-Cholet was the creation of Alexandre de Mayol de Lupé and Félix de Cholet who founded the winery in 1903. Bringing together tradition and modernity, these wines express their character from the soil they originate. The vineyard is situated in the Southern part of the territory of Savigny-lès-Beaune in Côte de Beaune. Careful sorting of the grapes, light pressing, partial or total de-stemming, and cold maceration prior to fermentation. The wines are barrelled for 16 months, according to vintage, in oak casks, of which 20 to 40% are new, with a variety of origins of wood.
