Skillogalee is a small family wondered winery in the hills of the Clare Valley, South Australia. The name has celtic origins, for a type of porridge fed to Irish prisoners that arrived in Australia in the 1840’s to populate the country. The vineyards are managed in accordance with sustainable farming practices and the cool climate and altitude make this an ideal region for growing premium quality Riesling. This wine can be enjoyed now or can be aged for up to 10 years.
The wine is straw like in appearance, with a green tinge. The nose has a perfumed lift of white flowers, lime blossom and musk. The palate is full-flavoured with pronounced fruit weight and texture.
Perfect with fish, seafood or white meat dishes.
