Moncucco Moscato d’Asti
Fontantanafredda is one of the leading wine companies in Northern Italy, with a history dating back to 1858. The grapes come from the San Stefano Belbo in the Piedmonte in the hard of the Moscato d’Asti region. This wine is unique in the way it is made by delicately pressing the grapes followed by a fermentation which is stopped when 3 degrees of alcohol are reached. At this point the wine the wine is transferred to a pressure tank, where the fermentation continues until it reaches 5.5% vol,
‘Frizzante’ or lightly sparkling wine with a pale golden-yellow colour. Pronounced aromas of honey, orange blossom and citrus fruits. On the palate it is sweet balanced with a fresh acidity. The soft bubbles are fill with flavours of honey, oranges and lemons and a hint of dried herbs. At 5,5% vol this is the ideal low alcohol, semi sparkling, sweet wine.
Served lightly chilled it is ideal to accompany a wide range of desserts
