The name Bosstok refers to the untrellised bush vines, producing lower yields of concentrated, flavourful grapes. Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir grape and the Cinsaut grape and is almost exclusively grown in South Africa. Following a traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
