Heartland Foreign Correspondent 2016
Heartland Wines, in Langhorne Creek, 80km south east of Adelaide in South Australia. Grapes have been grown here since the 1850s. Heartland Foreign Correspondent brings international grapes to the heart of Australia. The grapes are grown on cool climate vineyards with winds coming from Antarctic and Southern ocean. The Lagrein and Dolcetto are fermented together, left on their skins for a short period of time resulting in a wine that is light in colour and tannin.
Red berries zip around the mouth. They are enhanced by a sprinkling of herbs and spices. This is an elegant and sophisticated wine that will surprise you.
Serve slightly chilled as if it was a Rosé. Great as an aperitif, grill fish and lighter red meats, and pasta.
