Pont de Gassac Rouge
1972 was a year that transformed the lives of Véronique and Aimé Guibert. They had discovered a unique terroir in the Gassac valley, in Aniane, in the Cevennes foothills of the Larzac plateau, in the heart of the Languedoc. It was to change their lives and be at the origin of a great Languedoc wine making adventure, that of the Mas de Daumas Gassac. Pont de Gassac Rouge 2016, celebrates many years of a Domaine which has been well known for many years as the ‘Grand Cru of the Midi’. The vines are predominantly uncloned king Cabernet Sauvignon which reigned supreme in the Medoc before 1914.
This rich red wine is well balanced, full bodied, with ripe red berries flavours and smooth tannins. Alcohol content 13.5%.
Ideal to accompany lamb, red meat, and other hearty dishes.
