Rijk´s Private Cellar Shiraz
A world class benchmark Shiraz. Deep red colour – almost black. The nose explodes with aromas of prune, coconut and cloves. This wine has a broad mouth feel, kept fresh by youthful tannins. Lovers of the partnership between good food and good wine will adore this wine. The winery was named after the governor of the town, Rijk (pronounced Rike) The farm was found on 136 hectares of virgin soils not yet cultivated. Slopes facing north, south, east and west with excellent drainage and sufficient water. Perfect for creating their low yielding high quality grapes. The grapes are hand picked in the cool of the night to retain freshness.
