Omero Cellars Pinot Noir
Omero Cellars Pinot Noir is from the Ribbon Ridge AVA, Willamette Valley in Oregon, USA. It’s often said that, if Napa is the Bordeaux of California, then Oregon is the Burgundy. There are obvious climatic and varietal parallels – warmer/cooler, Cabernet/Pinot. Omero Cellars’ winemaker Chad Stock’s Pinot Noirs are the product of an attention to detail that borders on obsession, from the tailoring of Burgundy clones to Oregon terroir, his treatment of yeast cultures as if they were sourdough and his insistence on making aromatic wines that marry weight and structure to delicacy and length.
Omero Cellars Pinot Noir is perfumed, some floral notes with typical meaty, cherry, blueberry and spice. Silky on the palate with savoury meaty characters again and sweet berry fruits, spice and oak.
Great with roast pork or casseroles, game such as wild duck.
