Montresor Custoza ‘Vedetta del Re’

The Veronese family Montresor, headed by Giorgio Montresor, produce this classic northern Italian white made from Garganega, Cortese and Chardonnay grown in their vineyards on the shores of Lake Garda.  In total they have 100 ha of vineyards in Valpolicella and Garda in the Veneto region of northern Italy.  Maybe not as well  known as some of the bigger wines, but every bit as good and remarkable good value.

Lightly aromatic, fresh and fruity. Similar in style to good quality Soave Classico (though a little more aromatic) or neighbouring Lugana – this white has crisp citrus and stone fruit characters. Light and appealing on the palate, with good balancing texture and weight.
