Ixsir Altitude Red 2011

Origin

Ixsir Altitude Red come from hills of Bartoun, Lebanon. There is a strong Spanish influence with this wine as the winemaker is Gabriel Rivero, who works with the renowned Hubert De Boüard to produce this range of wines.

Al-Iksir, meaning Elixir, is the purest form of all substances, a secret potion that grants eternal youth and love. Ixsir was therefore chosen as a fitting name for a new project established by a group of friends who share the desire of creating the finest wines Lebanon has to offer, and have been willing to spare no expense in realising their dream.

Style

Made from grapes from some of the highest vineyards in the northern hemisphere. This wine has pronounced aromas of red and black fruits, with a touch of oak, and coffee. Its unique blending gives the wine a supple and smooth character black fruits and oak.

Food Matching

Great on its own, with steak and rice dishes.
