The Domaine des Prés Lasses estate is the fulfilment of the dream of two friends with a shared passion for wine, Jean-Paul Ribeton and Denis Feigel. In 1999, they bought plots of old AOC Faugères vines, Languedoc’s smallest Appellation. Alsace-born Denis Feigel, who is an oenologist by training, manages the estate with deep respect for nature and the environment.
Applying a minimal intervention philosophy when working on these wines in the cellar, they aim to achieve the most natural expression of the terroir. Fermentation is long and only on indigenous wine yeasts. The wine is then kept in old oak barrels for 18 months.
These simple but demanding processes guarantee the production of generous, well-balanced and original wines.
Subtly spicy, with ripe red fruit aromas and flavours. Beautifully soft and generous texture with silky-fine tannins and characteristic Southern French ”garrigue” flavours – thyme, rosemary, marjoram and other wild herbs.
An excellent wine for a wide range dishes from pizza to roast lamb.
