Clos Dady Sauternes 2013

Origin

Clos Dady is a tiny (6 hectare) property situated between Château de Malle and Château Bastor-Lamontagne in the commune of Preignac. In a very short time, the wines have gained a tremendous reputation in France for their concentration, balance and depth of flavour. The company was recently bought by Russian investor Mr. Eli Ragimov who, according to Decanter magazine, is a wine lover keen on renovating the property. It is reported that he will focus on quality, lowering production levels while expanding into up and coming wine markets around the world.

Style

A highly complex wine which entices you with its scents of lime, acacia, apricots, grilled almond and honeyed aromas. The palate is luscious and generous with its sweet apricot, honey, roasted nut and marmalade flavours and perfectly balanced with a zesty, lime rind acidity, finishing clean, uplifted and satisfying.

Food Matching

Sauternes is complex enough to pair with all kinds of savory dishes, from Roquefort terrine to fried chicken to seafood – Oysters.
